Shares of Bajaj Auto Ltd. were trading with gains of up to 2% on Monday, December 2, morning after the automaker reported its sales data for November.
Bajaj Auto sold 4,21,640 units in month of November 2024, compared to 4,03,003 units in November last year, recording a growth of 5% year-on-year.
The company’s total sales include domestic sales of 2.40 lakh units, down by 7% year-on-year, and exports of 1.80 lakh units, higher by 24% year-on-year.
During November this year, Bajaj Auto sold 3.68 lakh two-wheeler units, higher by 5% year-on-year, and 53,564 commercial vehicles, lower by 1% year-on-year.
Analysts polled by CNBC-TV18 expected two wheelers and cars to witness a decline in wholesales in November 2024, especially month-on-month in all cases.
The analysts had said that a high base will weigh on November wholesales with earlier timing of the festive season also impacting volume for the month. However, it must be noted that VAHAN retail registration data remains strong for two-wheelers.
