Iran will hold talks about its disputed nuclear programme with three European powers on Friday — Germany, France and the UK — days after the UN atomic watchdog passed a resolution against Tehran.
The meeting would take place in Geneva as Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s government was seeking a solution to the nuclear impasse ahead of the inauguration in January of US President-elect Donald Trump.
General Elections in Ireland
The Irish voters go to the polls today, three weeks after Prime Minister Simon Harris ended months of speculations by dissolving the coalition government before the end of its term in March next year.
His centre-right Fine Gael is seeking an unprecedented fourth successive term in office.

PM Modi to attend all-India security conference
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to Odisha starting today to attend an all-India conference of Director Generals of Police and Inspector Generals of Police in Bhubaneswar.
Apart from Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and other senior officers of the Intelligence Bureau, all state DGPs, CRPF DG, chiefs of RAW, NSG and SPG will attend the event.
The foundation stone to be laid for largest green hydrogen hub
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for India’s largest green hydrogen hub on Friday.
The green hydrogen hub in Visakhapatnam aims to be a state-of-the-art facility that will produce green hydrogen using renewable energy sources like solar and wind power.
GDP 2nd Quarter data to be released
The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI) will release Annual and Quarterly estimates of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the Second Quarter (July-September) of Financial Year 2024-25 at 4 pm today.
The data will be available on the website of Press Information Bureau and Ministry’s official website ( https://www.mospi.gov.in).
Congress working committee meet
The Congress party will hold its Working Committee meeting on November 29 following its poor performance in the recently concluded Maharashtra and Haryana elections.
The meeting is expected to focus on the party’s electoral defeats in Maharashtra and Haryana, along with the current political situation.
Amazon workers strike
Thousands of Amazon employees in more than 20 countries will participate in a coordinated protest against the online retail giant on Black Friday, according to The Independent.
Warehouse workers and delivery drivers will strike in Germany, according to the campaign organised by the Make Amazon Pay group, while protests will also take place in major cities throughout dozens more countries.
Their demands from Amazon include improved workers’ rights, paying more taxes and committing to greater environmental sustainability.
UK lawmakers to vote on assisted dying
British lawmakers must decide on Friday whether to support assisted dying in an emotional vote which has split parliament and the country.
Lawmakers will debate proposals to allow mentally competent, terminally ill adults in England and Wales, with six months or less left to live, the right to choose to end their lives with medical help.

SC hearing over felling trees in Delhi
